Long Story Books

We’ve really enjoyed getting to know all of our neighbors better as this project has progressed—and how fitting that this forthcoming local bookstore is already connecting the community! Connection factors into our design by bridging old and new as we find fluency between the historic structure and the modern addition. We are utilizing an abundance of colors, textures, and patterns to maintain a playful, vibrant feel throughout, alongside beautiful millwork and retail fixtures, and charming elements referencing the identity of the original home. Upholstered built-in nooks for writing, reading, or working will add to the cozy, residential feel, and a reading room will serve as the threshold between the two sections. The newer structure allows for a lofted gathering space and coffee shop, with tall ceilings and lots of natural light.

Stay tuned for more updates! Coming to Edgewood Ave in 2026.
